1 Corinthians 5
1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named
ℵBA ⟨even⟩
among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.1 Omnino auditur inter vos fornicatio, et talis fornicatio, qualis nec inter gentes, ita ut uxorem patris sui aliquis habeat.
2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
2 Et vos inflati estis: et non magis luctum habuistis ut tollatur de medio vestrum qui hoc opus fecit.
3 For I verily, as
ℵBA omit
absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,3 Ego quidem absens corpore, præsens autem spiritu, jam judicavi ut præsens eum, qui sic operatus est,
4 In the name of our

Lord Jesus ChristBA omit
, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus ChristℵBA omit
,4 in nomine Domini nostri Jesu Christi, congregatis vobis et meo spiritu, cum virtute Domini nostri Jesu,
5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus
B ⟨the Lord⟩; A ⟨our Lord Jesus Christ⟩
.5 tradere hujusmodi Satanæ in interitum carnis, ut spiritus salvus sit in die Domini nostri Jesu Christi.
6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
6 ¶ Non est bona gloriatio vestra. Nescitis quia modicum fermentum totam massam corrumpit?
7 Purge out therefore
ℵBA omit
the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for usℵBA omit
:7 Expurgate vetus fermentum, ut sitis nova conspersio, sicut estis azymi. Etenim Pascha nostrum immolatus est Christus.
8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither
B ⟨not⟩
with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.8 Itaque epulemur: non in fermento veteri, neque in fermento malitiæ et nequitiæ: sed in azymis sinceritatis et veritatis.
9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
9 Scripsi vobis in epistola: Ne commisceamini fornicariis:
10 Yet
ℵBA omit
not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, orℵBA ⟨and⟩
extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.10 non utique fornicariis hujus mundi, aut avaris, aut rapacibus, aut idolis servientibus: alioquin debueratis de hoc mundo exiisse.
11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
11 Nunc autem scripsi vobis non commisceri: si is qui frater nominatur, est fornicator, aut avarus, aut idolis serviens, aut maledicus, aut ebriosus, aut rapax, cum ejusmodi nec cibum sumere.
12 For what have I to do to judge them also
ℵBA omit
that are without? doℵ ⟨shall⟩
not ye judge them that are within?12 Quid enim mihi de iis qui foris sunt, judicare? nonne de iis qui intus sunt, vos judicatis?
13 But them that are without God judgeth
ℵB ⟨will judge⟩
. ThereforeℵBA omit
put away from among yourselves that wicked person.13 nam eos qui foris sunt, Deus judicabit. Auferte malum ex vobis ipsis.
