Revelation 11
1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood,
ℵA omit
sayingℵ ⟨he saith⟩
, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.1 Et datus est mihi calamus similis virgæ, et dictum est mihi: Surge, et metire templum Dei, et altare, et adorantes in eo:
2 But the court which is without
ℵ ⟨within⟩
the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is givenℵ ⟨given also⟩
unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two monthsA ⟨measure forty and two months⟩
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
3 et dabo duobus testibus meis, et prophetabunt diebus mille ducentis sexaginta, amicti saccis.
4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God

of the earth.4 Hi sunt duæ olivæ et duo candelabra in conspectu Domini terræ stantes.
5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner

6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and

to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.6 Hi habent potestatem claudendi cælum, ne pluat diebus prophetiæ ipsorum: et potestatem habent super aquas convertendi eas in sanguinem, et percutere terram omni plaga quotiescumque voluerint.
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that
ℵ ⟨beast that then⟩; A ⟨fourth beast that⟩
ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.7 Et cum finierint testimonium suum, bestia, quæ ascendit de abysso, faciet adversum eos bellum, et vincet illos, et occidet eos.
8 And their dead bodies
A ⟨body⟩
shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also ourℵ ⟨the⟩; A ⟨their⟩
Lord was crucified.8 Et corpora eorum jacebunt in plateis civitatis magnæ, quæ vocatur spiritualiter Sodoma, et Ægyptus, ubi et Dominus eorum crucifixus est.
9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall

see their dead bodiesℵA ⟨body⟩
three days and an half, and shall not sufferℵA ⟨suffer not⟩
their dead bodies to be put in gravesℵA ⟨a grave⟩
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice
ℵA ⟨rejoice⟩
over them, and make merry, and shall sendℵ ⟨send⟩
gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.10 et inhabitantes terram gaudebunt super illos, et jucundabuntur: et munera mittent invicem, quoniam hi duo prophetæ cruciaverunt eos, qui habitabant super terram.
11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them
A omit
, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.12 Et audierunt vocem magnam de cælo, dicentem eis: Ascendite huc. Et ascenderunt in cælum in nube: et viderunt illos inimici eorum.
13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
14 Væ secundum abiit: et ecce væ tertium veniet cito.
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms
ℵA ⟨kingdom of this world is become the kingdom⟩
of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and everℵ ⟨ever, Amen⟩
Amen.
16 And the four and twenty
ℵA ⟨twenty four⟩
elders, which satℵ ⟨sit⟩
before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,16 Et viginti quatuor seniores, qui in conspectu Dei sedent in sedibus suis, ceciderunt in facies suas, et adoraverunt Deum, dicentes:
17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come
ℵA omit
; becauseℵ ⟨and because⟩
thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.17 Gratias agimus tibi, Domine Deus omnipotens, qui es, et qui eras, et qui venturus es: quia accepisti virtutem tuam magnam, et regnasti.
18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and

shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.18 Et iratæ sunt gentes, et advenit ira tua et tempus mortuorum judicari, et reddere mercedem servis tuis prophetis, et sanctis, et timentibus nomen tuum pusillis et magnis, et exterminandi eos qui corruperunt terram.
19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven
ℵ ⟨heaven above⟩
, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testamentℵ ⟨the testament of God⟩
: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.19 Et apertum est templum Dei in cælo: et visa est arca testamenti ejus in templo ejus, et facta sunt fulgura, et voces, et terræmotus, et grando magna.
